Trier to Bernkastel-Kues

Thankfully no more rain today, giving us a chance to dry out. Our route downriver took us through some lovley German villages, and past row upon row of vinyards, most of them on impossibly steep slopes. The farmers have installed rollercoaster monorail tracks up the hills that they use to transport stuff to tend the vines with. Ended the day in a chocolate box picture postcard village and celebrated our first 1000km with a meal out, our first schnitzel and some local Reisling.

We are obviously having the rain instead, biblical tonight. Only last week I had just started to believe in global warming!
I think your schnitzel and reisling are more than well deserved on notching up your first 1000ks,very well done both of you.Very sad when you get such a kick on second hand gratification.
