Frieburg to Donnaueschingen

Left Frieburg and began to climb ever more steeply. Our pace slowed to a crawl, not being used to hills, which allowed us to appreciate the tree covered hills and banks of wild lupins and big fat daisies. Finally got to the top and were rewarded with our first sweeping vistas. Our efforts also earnt us a glorious 30km downhill. Made it all the way to Donauquelle which is the spring that's the scource of the Danube. We had expected to follow as the spring turned into a stream, then into a bigger and bigger river, but it turns out the spring immediately empties into a nearby river, and the two then become the Danube. We weren't quite sure how this qualifies Donaueschingen as the rivers source, and were left somewhat disapointed.

Downhill sounds Ok not sure about the first 30kms. Should be plain sailing now to Vienna. What about the boys feet? Bad move throwing anything of Lukes that smells. There will be nothing left. Great photos. Different view of Callie on video might be in order. Further comment beyyer from friends me thinks.
